Serving Dishes Serving dishes come in two distinct varieties relating to their construction methods: the thrown pieces and those built of slabs. The wheel-thrown pieces are stronger, but they are more expensive, while the slab pieces are cheaper as they are less labor-intensive. Below they are divided into those two categories. We also have smaller slab dishes for feast-ware under the Bowl and Plate categories.
