Samples of Past Custom Work

Yes, we take custom orders. Weather and workload permitting, it could be ready in four to five weeks. (Why so long? For a description of the process each individually thrown piece goes through, please look here.) Prices vary with surface decoration as well as the size of the piece. Be aware that no two pieces will ever be exactly alike; it is part of their charm.

We have done everything from color, size, or weight variations on existing pieces -- to complete dining sets with a personal design on it -- to the re-creations of historically documented findings. All are welcome.

This, in a way, was what started it all. We were showing our pottery to a local and had a request to make a set of twelve of these twelve-ounce cups. The design was a colored sea-lion that wrapped around the cup; the three images below are of the same cup.
